Citicore Power Inc. which is a renewable energy supply and solutions company has announced that it will deliver up to 20 megawatts of clean, solar-based power to Shell Energy Philippines Inc. Citicore said that Citicore Solar Bataan Inc. through its solar plant in Mariveles, Bataan would supply Shell with renewable energy.
Citicore president and chief executive, Oliver Tan said that Citicore and Shell share a mission to provide clean and sustainable energy to meet consumers’ requirements and carbon-free aspirations. Starting with this collaboration, they are looking forward to accelerating and expanding the country’s shift to and utilization of renewable energy.
Since Citicore started its solar plant operations, it has already generated 1.077 billion kilowatt-hours of energy, equivalent to 763,200 metric tons of reduced carbon emission. Citicore is developing new REsources and plans to increase its RE portfolio five-fold over the next five years to support more customers in their net-zero emissions journeys.
