Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has published an operation and maintenance (O&M) tender notice for NTPC’s 22 MW floating solar power facility in Kayamkulam, Kerala for a period of three years.
The last date for bid submission is May 23, 2022, which will be opened on the same day. The project is expected to cost Rs 58.13 million.
Bidders must provide Rs 500,000 as an earnest money deposit. As a security deposit, the selected bidder must pay 5% of the project cost.
The scope of work includes the operation and maintenance of the floating solar array on the reservoir, the inverter platform cum transformer yard, the central monitoring control station (CMCS), and 33 kV power cables laid from inverter stations along the reservoir and terminating at NTPC’s CMCS close to the switchyard.
Further, the selected bidder has to perform the O&M for all floating systems as well as electrical, mechanical, and civil facilities.
If the winning bidder does not begin the O&M work within two weeks, a penalty of 0.5 percent per week of delay on the work order value will be imposed.
Applicants must have concluded three comparable works, each of not less than Rs 23.25 million, or two equivalent completed works, each costing not less than Rs 29.07 million, or one similar completed job costing not less than Rs 46.51 million, in order to participate in the tender bidding.
Additionally, they are eligible to bid if they have 3 equivalent completed works totalling at least 40% of the total project capacity for one year. Bidders may participate in the tender if they have done 2 similar works or one similar job totalling at least 50% or 80% of the overall project capacity, respectively.
Bidders should have an annual financial turnover of at least 30% of the project cost during the previous 3 fiscal years ending March 31, 2021. They must include an audited balance sheet, profit and loss statement, or turnover certificate from a chartered accountant for the previous 3 fiscal years ending March 31, 2021.
