In April 2022, Renewable Energy Power Generation Capacity In Vietnam Reached 13.15 Billion kWh

The power production of the whole system in April 2022 reached 22.62 billion kWh, up 1.9% over the same period in Vietnam. Accumulated in the first 4 months of the year, the power production output of the whole system reached 85.65 billion kWh, up 6.2% over the same period. The mobilization levels of some main sources are as follows:

+ Renewable energy (wind power, solar power, biomass power) reached 13.15 billion kWh, accounting for 15.4% of the total power production of the whole system (solar power reaching 9.31 billion kWh, power wind reaching 3.61 billion kWh).

+ Imported power reached 536 million kWh, accounting for 0.6% of the total power production of the whole system.

In the first four months of 2022, the power produced by EVN and Power Generation Corporations (including joint-stock companies) reached 37.23 billion kWh, accounting for 43.47% of the power produced by the whole system. Power transmission in April 2022 reached 18.1 billion kWh. Accumulated in the first 4 months of 2022, transmission power output reached 67.03 billion kWh, increasing by 4.1% compared to that of the same period last year.

The commercial power output of EVN in April 2022 is estimated at 20.53 billion kWh. The power accumulation in 4 months of 2022 reached 75.3 billion kWh, an increase of 6.3% over the same period in 2021.

In the first 4 months of 2022, EVN and its units have commenced 30 projects and completed energizing and putting into operation 31 power grid projects, ranging from 110 kV to 500kV (including 02 500kV projects, 04 220kV projects and 25 110kV projects).

The objectives of power system operation in May 2022 are is to continue to ensure the generation and supply of power for production, business activities and people’s daily life; especially to ensure power for the 31st SEA Games and the 3rd session of the XV National Assembly.
