Administrative Capital For Urban Development Of Egypt Issues Largest Rooftop PV Tender In The World

The Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) invites international tier 1 companies and investors in the development of on-grid solar module projects to submit tenders.

The public tender issued is for PV rooftop on-grid in a power purchase agreement format. This tender is the second tender that ACUD has issued in PV Rooftop. The first tender was issued in EPC form 2 Years ago.

This is the largest rooftop photovoltaic tender in the world. The project will be spread over an area of around 1,5 million m2 of roofs in the residential districts of Egypt.

The tenderers must be submitted in two sealed envelopes, one for technical and another for financial in compliance with the tender documents. The tender document amount is $5000 and the tender security bond amount is of $1,000,000.

Administrative Capital For Urban Development ( ACUD ) is the Owner and Developer of the New Administrative capital in Egypt which is located 35 KM east of Cairo with a total area of 170,000 feddan.

Recently, an official said that Egypt will be able to generate almost 10,000 megawatts (MW) or 10 GW of solar power in 2023 if some projects are completed.
