NTPC Floats Tender For Supply of Bifacial PV Modules for 735 MW Solar Project
NTPC has published a request to submit proposals for a solar photovoltaic module package for the 735 MW (3*245MW) Nokh Solar Project in Rajasthan. Project scope of work includes manufacturing, supply and packing, forwarding and transportation to Nokh site. Inland transit insurance for crystalline bifacial photovoltaic module with a minimum nominal rating (530 W) and a maximum rating (560 W) is also included. The deadline for submitting bids is July 28, 2022.
Jharkhand Launches New Solar Policy, Aims To Achieve 4,000 MW Solar Capacity in Next 5 Years
Jharkhand aims to achieve a capacity of 4000 MW of solar power in the next five years and is open to attracting investors in the space with lucrative offers, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said on Tuesday. Soren launched the Solar Energy Policy 2022 and laid the foundation stone in the virtual mode for 600 KW capacity solar plant at Dhanbad and Dumka airports and a grid connected rooftop power plant for domestic consumers under the Giridih Solar City Scheme.

BHEL Tenders 10.27 Million Mono PERC Solar Cells Supply
For the supply of 10.27 million monocrystalline passivated emitter and rear contact (PERC) solar cells with a wattage output of 5.38 W, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has issued an invitation for bids. The deadline for the submission of bids is July 15, 2022, which is also the bid opening date. The cells should have a dimension of 158.75 ± 0.5 X 158.75 ± 0.5 and a length of 5 busbars. They should have a thickness of 200 ± 20 microns, and their diagonal variation should not be a maximum of 0.5 mm.

Proposal To Install Solar Panels on Canals Across Haryana, Says Power Minister
Haryana Power Minister Ranjit Singh Chautala on Monday said the power department is preparing a proposal to install solar panels on canals across the state to produce clean energy. The minister said that the state government is paying special attention to promote the use of solar energy. For power generation, he said that four paddy stubble-based plants would be established in the state. Fatehabad will be one of the four locations. According to a statement, “These plants will not just generate electricity, but also produce compressed gas.”

Chandigarh To Have 10 Solar Plants by August 2023
Chandigarh Renewable Energy and Science and Technology Promotion Society (Crest), has proposed 10 solar power projects. These will be used to produce 75 megawatts of electricity it targets. The proposed projects are planed to build by next year August. Dharam Pal, a UT advisor, had recently asked for reports about these proposals. Crest has generated 48 MW of solar power, while the 75 MW target was for August 15, 2023. Crest will also construct two floating solar power plants in the City under the ‘Azadika Amrit Mahotsav campaign. One at Sector 39 waterworks, and one at Dhanas lake. The UT advisor was briefed by Crest CEO Debendra Dalai, while details have already been shared with the Centre by the administration.
