NTPC Commissions 100 MW of Nokhra Solar Project in Rajasthan

NTPC has commissioned the first part capacity of 100 megawatt (MW) out of 300 MW Nokhra solar power plant in Rajasthan.

“First part capacity of 100MW out of 300MW Nokhra Solar Project in Bikaner (Rajasthan) is proclaimed on Commercial Operation. It will have an impact at 00:00 hours on 20.12.2022.”

With this, standalone installed and commercial capacity of NTPC has become 58209 MW, while group installed and commercial capacity of NTPC will become 70824 MW, it added.

Earlier this month, NTPC completed the 150 MW and 90 MW Devikot solar power plants in Jaisalmer (Rajasthan).

The Central Public Sector Undertaking Scheme Phase-II Tranche-I was established by the Ministry of New and also Renewable Energy of the Central Government.

After a Viability Gap Funding process (VGF-based affordable bidding), the projects were awarded to NTPC in 2019. They were established by HILD Energie in an EPC with land setting. The vendor of the EPC arranged the land necessary for the project.
