Trina Solar and Al-Raebi for Trading signed a five-year partnership agreement to supply 500MW module shipments for Yemeni markets. Trina Solar will supply Al-Raebi in 2023 with 100MW of its n-type i-TOPCon module technology modules. This 5-year agreement will meet the country’s growing energy needs.
The Vertex N series has been enhanced with the latest technology of iTOPCon cells, 210mm module technology, and cell efficiency of up to 22.4%. Module efficiency can reach 605W and 695W in residential, C&I photovoltaic, and utility settings.
Al-Raebi is Trina Solar’s authorized distributor in Yemen. He will supply Trina Solar’s latest n-type i-TOPCon Vertex N PV modules based on 210mm technology to ensure partners’ high reliability and solid performance.
Antonio Jimenez (Vice President, Managing Director, Middle East) said, “Trina Solar is proud to introduce the latest n-type iTOPCon Vertex N module to the region. We have a long and successful relationship with Al-Raebi, which allows us to provide the power, efficiency, and reliability necessary to accelerate the adoption and adoption of clean energy in Yemen. Al-Raebi, our authorized distributor, has seen more solar projects in the region. This allows us to meet the growing demand for solar energy to generate power for commercial, residential, and industrial purposes, as well as for farming.”
Abdullah M. Raebi is General Manager at Al-Raebi. He stated that solar energy has quickly gained popularity and has become the foundation of the Yemeni electricity supply. More than 70% of households now use solar energy as their primary source of energy. It is also a crucial part of the extraction and supply of groundwater for irrigation. Trina Solar is proud to have introduced the latest n-type iTOPCon VertexN modules to the Middle East. These modules are based on 210mm technology. This allows us to provide the best solar technology available to meet future and current market demands.
“Last year, Trina Solar and Al-Raebi agreed to supply 40MW of n-type Vertex Modules to meet the increasing demand for solar energy in Yemen. We are seeing an increase in demand for the upgraded n-type modules this year, due to the incredible success of these modules. Jimenez said that the 500MW deal is a testament to the exceptional value these modules provide users in Yemen.
The n-type era will see 210mm technology and n-type iTOPCon cell technology work together to combine strengths to emphasize the lower LCOE principle. Trina Solar will continue to be a leader in high-performance PV modules and meet increasing market demand.
