Terengganu Inc successfully inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the Feasibility Study to Develop Floating Solar Photovoltaic (FSPV) in Kenyir Power Stations with TNB Power Generation Sdn Bhd (TNB Genco), allowing research towards one of the most extensive floating solar panels in South East Asia.

Present as signatories during the signing event were our President and Executive Director, YBhg Encik Burhanuddin Hilmi bin Mohamed Harun and the Senior Vice President of Group Corporate Strategy & Planning, Encik Mohd Farouk bin Mohd Ariffin.

Meanwhile, TNB Genco was represented by its Managing Director, YBhg Dato’ Nor Azman bin Mufti with the Head of Business Development and Commercial, YBhg Datoโ€™ Mohd Hisham bin Ab Halim.

The ceremony was witnessed by the Chief Minister Terengganu and Chairman of Terengganu Inc, YAB Dato’ Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri bin Mokhtar, the State Legislative Assembly Speaker, YBhg Datoโ€™ Yahaya bin Ali and State Secretary, YBM Tengku Seri Bijaya Raja.

The 2000-hectare project in Tasik Kenyir will undergo a rigorous research process and is expected to produce 500MW in the area. These clean sources of electricity are expected to cater for the demand for energy resources following the growing market for electronic vehicles.
