SECI (Solar Energy Corporation of India) has released a Request for Selection (RfS) document inviting bids from Renewable Energy (RE) power developers for the supply of 500 MW firm and dispatchable power from ISTS (Inter-State Transmission System)-connected RE power projects in India. The selection will be made through a tariff-based competitive bidding process.
The pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 25th July 2023. The soft copy of bids must be submitted by 31st August 2023, while the hard copy should be submitted by 4th September 2023. The bid opening date is set for 5th September 2023.
Interested bidders are required to pay a tender fee of INR 29,500 and provide a tender EMD (Earnest Money Deposit) or bid bond of INR 30,24,000. Additionally, a bid processing fee of INR 15 lakh plus 18% GST is to be submitted with the response to the RfS.
Under this RfS, the selected RE power developer will be responsible for setting up ISTS-connected RE power projects, including the transmission network up to the interconnection point, at their own cost. They will also handle the identification of land, project installation, ownership, obtaining necessary approvals, and interconnection with the ISTS network for power supply to SECI.
The total contracted capacity offered for selection is 500 MW, and the selection process will involve e-bidding followed by e-reverse auction.
This opportunity allows RE power developers to contribute to India’s renewable energy goals and participate in the competitive bidding process to secure the supply of firm and dispatchable power.
