ANERT Tenders for 1.24 MW Grid-Connected Rooftop Solar Projects in Thiruvananthapuram

The Agency for New & Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT) has issued an invitation for bids from empaneled vendors to install and commission 1.24 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar power projects at 11 public institutions in Thiruvananthapuram. This initiative falls under the Solar City project, aimed at promoting renewable energy adoption in the region.

Interested vendors have until July 31, 2023, to submit their bids, with the bid opening scheduled for the following day. For the successful bidder, a ten-year warranty for the system and components or part of the system used in the projects will be required, as per the special conditions of the contract.

Projects below 100 kW capacity required to be completed within 30 days and projects above 100 kW capacity within 45 days from the date of the notification of award.

To qualify, bidders must have installed and commissioned a single grid-connected solar power project with a capacity not less than 300 kW or two projects of 150 kW or above capacity. The combined capacity of these projects should be above 2 MW, and they should have been commissioned at least two months before the bid opening date.

The initiative aims to accelerate the adoption of solar power in public institutions, contributing to Thiruvananthapuram’s renewable energy goals and environmental sustainability.
