NHPC Announces Tender for 40 MW Solar Project in Odisha, India

NHPC Limited has announced a tender for the development of a 40 MW solar power project along with an associated 220 KV transmission line in the Ganjam district of Odisha, India. This tender, which follows a single-stage, two-part bidding process, includes engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work, as well as comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) for a period of five years. Under the terms of the contract, the EPC work is expected to be completed within 12 months from the date of the award, including the commissioning period. The O&M component will extend for a duration of five years starting from the date of project commissioning.

To participate in this tender, bidders are required to meet specific financial criteria, including an average annual turnover of not less than INR 62 Crores in the preceding three years and a positive net worth on the closing day of any three financial years out of the last five years.

Interested bidders will need to purchase the tender document for INR 10,000 and provide a bid security of INR 3,00,00,000.

The online bid submission for this project is set to commence on November 3, 2023, and will close on November 10, 2023.

This initiative comes as NHPC continues to expand its presence in the renewable energy sector.
