OREDA Calls for Bids for 6.5 MW of Rooftop Solar Projects

In order to install 6.462 MW of rooftop solar power projects on government buildings in Odisha under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) Model with a net metering or virtual net metering facility, the Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) has invited bids.

One of the first rooftop solar project tenders in the nation to include the virtual net metering option is the one from OREDA.

December 22, 2023, is when bids must be submitted. The day to open bids is December 28.

Six months from the date of the tripartite agreement’s signature, the systems must be installed. For 25 years, the selected bidder will be responsible for managing the upkeep and operation of the projects.

Installers are required to keep capacity utilization factors between 15% and 18.7%, with a maximum of 15% if the total amount of electricity consumed is less than 90%.

Additionally, according to OREDA regulations, only solar modules listed on the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers may be used.

Bid security of ₹10 Lacs/MW of quoted capacity is required of all bidders.

To participate in the bidding process, in the previous five years, bidders must have constructed and activated grid-connected solar projects with a minimum of 50% of the stated capacity.

Further, as of the previous fiscal year, their net worth should have been ₹1 Cr./MW of the quoted capacity.

Alternatively, for any of the previous three years out of the previous five, their minimum average turnover should not be less than ₹1 Cr./MW of quoted capacity.
