BayWa r.e. embarks on its inaugural VPPA with a healthcare firm, while Boston Scientific achieves its first European VPPA, advancing its decarbonization goals. Over the 10-year agreement, BayWa r.e. will supply extra electricity from the 15.1 MW Alcalรก Solar Photovoltaic Plant near Seville, Spain. In turn, Boston Scientific secures renewable energy covering around 80% of its European electricity consumption.
VPPAs are a great avenue for businesses to procure renewable energy and diminish their carbon footprint.
