A significant step towards enhancing energy cooperation has been taken as Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed four pivotal documents.
These include a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Investment of the UAE and the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, focusing on investment cooperation in electricity transmission projects.
Another crucial agreement is the Framework Agreement for Strategic Collaboration, which aims to boost Azerbaijan’s renewable and clean energy capabilities and facilitate green energy export operations.
Additionally, a Calendar of Actions outlines a roadmap for the construction of 1 GW solar and wind onshore projects in Azerbaijan, spanning 2024-2027.
The partnership is further solidified by a Strategic Partnership Agreement between SOCAR and ADNOC, exploring cooperation in various energy sectors such as rooftop solar projects, green hydrogen, and sustainable aviation fuel production.
