Epsilon Carbon Unveils Rs. 10,000 Crore Investment for Mega Carbon Complex in Jharsuguda, Odisha

In a groundbreaking development, Epsilon Carbon Pvt. Ltd., a prominent player in the carbon industry, has committed a substantial investment of Rs. 10,000 crores over the next decade for the establishment of an Integrated Carbon Complex (ICC) in Jharsuguda, Odisha. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the Government of Odisha outlines the project’s scope, aiming to manufacture 8,75,000 MT/annum of diverse carbon products, positioning it as one of India’s largest integrated carbon complexes.

The ICC will encompass three key carbon product segments, with capacities for Speciality Carbon, Carbon Black, and Advanced Materials. This transformative initiative is anticipated to generate approximately 2000 direct and indirect job opportunities, fostering socio-economic development in the region. Epsilon Carbon, committed to community engagement, plans to collaborate on education, skill development, healthcare, and infrastructure programs.

Jharsuguda’s conducive industrial environment, skilled labor pool, robust infrastructure, and supportive policies make it an ideal host for this mega project. Strategically located near major steel industries and benefitting from proximity to coal tar pitch resources in the region, the project is poised for success.
