SJVN Limited Invites Bids for 1500 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Projects in India Through Competitive Bidding

SJVN Limited, a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh, has issued a Request for Selection (RfS) document for the selection of Hybrid Power Developers (HPDs) to set up 1500 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Projects in India. The projects will be awarded through Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) on a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) basis.

Interested developers meeting the Qualification Requirements (QR) outlined in the document can participate in the bidding process, which involves a Single Stage Two Envelope Bidding Process comprising Technical and Financial Bids. SJVN will enter into a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the successful bidder(s).

The timeline for the competitive bidding process initiated by SJVN Limited for the 1500 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Projects includes a deadline for the submission of hard copies of bids on March 19, 2024, until 18:00 Hrs. The Technical Bid is scheduled for opening on March 20, 2024, at 11:00 Hrs, while the specific Date & Time for opening Price Bids will be communicated to technically qualified bidders.

Additionally, the e-Reverse Auction details will be shared with eligible bidders via email, including the specific date and time for the auction. The period of Bid Validity extends for 12 months from the last date of bid submission, providing ample time for the evaluation and selection process. Interested parties are urged to adhere to the outlined deadlines and stay updated on further communication regarding the opening of bids and the e-Reverse Auction.
