SolarKal Facilitates Acceptance of 13 Commercial Solar Projects in New Jersey Community Solar Program, Adding 12 MW of Renewable Energy

SolarKal, a leading commercial solar advisory firm, has successfully shepherded 13 commercial solar projects to acceptance in the New Jersey Community Solar program, contributing a total of 12 MW of renewable energy to benefit residents who may not have direct access to solar savings. Through this initiative, community solar subscribers are guaranteed a minimum discount of 15% on their utility bills for the duration of their subscription.

The recent opening of the 225 MW capacity block for development in 2024, which began on November 15, 2023, marked the inaugural opportunity for developers to engage in the Community Solar Energy Program. Despite receiving over 300 applications—double the available capacity—SolarKal achieved an impressive acceptance rate of 93% for its projects, far surpassing the general acceptance rate of less than 50%.
