Ampion Surpasses 1 Gigawatt in Managed Community Solar

Ampion Renewable Energy has surpassed one gigawatt (GW) of managed community solar power for developer clients. This milestone highlights the company’s dedication to advancing renewable energy, with one GW capable of powering 100 million LED light bulbs and offsetting carbon equivalent to over 16 million tree seedlings grown for a decade, showcasing significant environmental impact.

There are also significant organizational changes for future scalability. Andrew Kvaal steps into the role of President and Chief Operating Officer, Chris Kallaher advances to Senior Vice President and General Counsel, and Sana Jameel takes on the position of Vice President of Account Management. hillip Kenny has been elevated to the position of Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer, Phil Gurule to Vice President of Engineering, and Mike Lamson to Vice President of Product.

Ampion operates in nine states and continues to expand. The company acquires and oversees subscribers across various sectors, including housing authorities, municipalities, enterprises, small businesses, and residential clients. In 2023, Ampion significantly increased its low-to-moderate income (LMI) subscriber base, widening access to essential savings for those in need.
