Eastern Railway’s Kanchrapara Workshop Seeks Bids for 3.0 MWp Solar Power Plant Project

The Deputy Chief Electrical Engineer (DY.CEE/G) of Kanchrapara (KPA) Workshop, representing the President of India, has officially announced the invitation for E-Tenders concerning Tender No KPA-EG-OT-13-23-24. This tender, with a closing date and time set for 27th April 2024 at 14:00 hours, is aimed at the provision and installation of 3.0 MWp on-grid solar power plants at various locations within the KPA Workshop premises. The process is marked by a complete digital submission requirement, explicitly disallowing any manual offers, which, if received, will be disregarded.

This tender follows an Open Bidding System utilizing a Two Packet System for the selection process, without the necessity for a pre-bid conference. The tender, valued at ₹123,107,025.80, seeks bids for the design, drawing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a ground-mounted Solar Power Plant, incorporating all necessary electrical and associated equipment as well as civil works at the specified locations in the KPA Workshop. The total project area covers approximately 87,770 square meters, situated in the Officer’s Colony Area of Eastern Railway, Kanchrapara, facing the Southeast.

Key elements of the tender include the supply of 5505 M10 mono-perc solar PV modules each with a capacity of 545 Wp, hot dip galvanized Module mounting structures, and solar inverters of 120 kW capacity with integrated MPPT controllers. The tender invites bids starting from 13th April 2024, allowing joint venture (JV) firms to participate. The earnest money for this tender is set at ₹765,500.00 with a completion period of 12 months from the date of contract award. This project represents a significant step towards sustainable energy solutions within the railway workshop facilities, emphasizing the move towards greener and more efficient energy sources.
