Gujarat Toolroom Ltd. Invests INR 5.72 to 6.5 Billion in 65-Acre Wind Solar Hybrid Power Plant in Gujarat

Gujarat Toolroom Limited (GTL), has announced a major expansion in its renewable energy initiatives. The company has secured a 65-acre plot of land in Gujarat on a long-term lease to establish a state-of-the-art clean energy hybrid power plant.

This new development is strategically located, with 60 acres designated for solar panels expected to generate 1 MW of energy per hour per acre. The remaining 5 acres will house critical power management infrastructure such as transformer stations and high-voltage line terminals.

Additionally, the project will feature 15 on-shore wind turbines, each producing 2.5 MW per hour, strategically placed across the site. This setup will enable the Hybrid Power Plant to produce a total of 97.5 MW of clean electricity, significantly contributing to the regional power grid.

Gujarat Toolroom Ltd.’s initiative is expected to power between 70,000 and 73,000 households, underscoring its impact on community empowerment and sustainable energy generation. The project aligns with GTL’s commitment to environmental responsibility by reducing reliance on fossil fuels and lowering carbon emissions.

The project, with an estimated cost between INR 5.72 to 6.5 Billion, is projected to take 3-5 years to complete before it becomes operational.
