Amplus, a frontrunner in providing clean energy solutions in India, has announced the successful launch of Project Lakshmi, a 73.4 MWp intra-state open-access solar plant located in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. This marks the company’s third such installation in the state, following the successful implementations of Project Mirza and Project Deoria. With Project Lakshmi now operational, Amplus’s total open-access solar capacity in Uttar Pradesh has surpassed 200 MWp, reinforcing its status as a major provider of renewable energy to commercial and industrial entities in the region.
The newly commissioned solar plant is connected to the 132 KV Gursarai substation and is expected to offer significant energy cost savings to Amplus’s clients throughout Uttar Pradesh. It is also projected to cut down CO2 emissions by 116,716.1 tons every year.
