ENERTRAG Secures €120 Million Financing Deal with Commerzbank AG for Further Growth

In a significant move to bolster its growth trajectory, ENERTRAG, a prominent player in Renewable Energies, has successfully concluded a new financing deal amounting to €120 million with Commerzbank AG. This financing arrangement, characterized by a minimum term of at least five years and flexible extension options, lays a solid foundation for ENERTRAG’s future expansion endeavors.

The medium-term investment loan secured by ENERTRAG will be pivotal in advancing the development and expansion of its energy plants and project portfolio. Renowned for its comprehensive approach encompassing wind, PV, and electrolysis plants alongside network infrastructure, ENERTRAG aims to further solidify its position as a leading provider of hybrid power plants.

With a robust base comprising over 900 MW of its own energy plants and a burgeoning project portfolio, ENERTRAG is poised for accelerated growth. Notably, the company has secured permits for nearly 200 MW of new wind energy plants in Germany over the past six months, signaling a promising trajectory for realization. Over the past three years, the development portfolio has witnessed a remarkable surge to over 18 GW, indicative of ENERTRAG’s steadfast commitment to driving the energy transition.

Simon Hagedorn, CFO of ENERTRAG, hailed the financing agreement as a milestone for the company’s growth strategy, expressing gratitude for the unwavering support of longstanding partners, particularly Commerzbank.
