In a recent analysis of corporate fundraising, Vivint Solar’s CEO has emerged as the most successful fundraiser in Utah. Data analysts at Switch On Business utilized corporate fundraising data from Crunchbase to identify CEOs who have secured the most funding during their tenure at companies headquartered in each U.S. state.

CEO Fundraising Success Across the U.S.:

Hock Tan, the president and CEO of Broadcom Limited, leads the nation with an astonishing $100 billion raised. This total is more than three times that of Albert Bourla, who has secured $31 billion for Pfizer in New York. Tan’s fundraising prowess has significantly contributed to Broadcom’s extensive growth and investment autonomy across its multiple product divisions.

In the tech sector, New York’s top earner switches from Pfizer’s Albert Bourla to Lowell C. McAdam of Verizon, who raised $28.9 billion for the telecom giant. Iowa’s biggest tech fundraiser is Julie Iskow of Workiva, who has secured $625 million for the software-as-a-service finance company.

Financial Sector Fundraising:

In the financial sector, Patrick Collison of Stripe stands out, having raised $8.75 billion for the San Francisco/Dublin-based payments firm. Melissa Smith of Wex is Maine’s top fundraiser, having secured $400 million for the global commerce platform during her tenure as CEO.
