Coal India Announces ₹117 Crore Tender for 23 MW Ground-Mounted Solar Plant in Chandrapur

Coal India subsidiary, The Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDI) has announced a significant tender for the development of a grid-connected ground-mounted solar power plant in the Majri Area, Chandrapur, Maharashtra. This public sector undertaking invites online bids for the Design, Engineering, Supply, Construction, Erection, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of a solar power plant with a capacity of 23 MW (AC) and a minimum DC overload capacity of 40%.

The tender opens to eligible bidders with a valid Digital Signature Certificate (DSC). The submission deadline is set for July 3, 2024, at 5:00 PM, with bids scheduled to be opened the following day, July 4, 2024, at 11:00 AM.

The project will span a total contract period of 3922 days. This includes 270 days for the construction phase, encompassing all civil, structural, and electrical works, as well as the testing and commissioning of the plant. Following the construction phase, the project includes a comprehensive Operation and Maintenance (O&M) period of ten years (3652 days).

The estimated project cost is approximately ₹1,17,16,02,181, inclusive of GST. Interested bidders must furnish an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹50 lakh. The successful bidder is expected to commence work within 30 days of receiving the letter of acceptance or seven days after the site handover for the initial activity, whichever is later.
