Apraava Energy, a leading energy solutions provider in India, has finalized a power purchase agreement (PPA) with NTPC for a significant 300 MW solar power project connected to the interstate transmission system (ISTS). Located in Rajasthan, this project represents Apraava Energyโs largest solar initiative to date and is expected to be completed within the next 24 months.
The contract was awarded to Apraava Energy following a successful bid with a tariff of INR 2.65 per kWh during NTPCโs auction for 1.5 GW of ISTS-connected solar PV projects across India. Under the 25-year PPA, Apraava Energy will undertake the development of the project on a build-own-operate basis.
This new project enhances Apraava Energyโs footprint in Rajasthan, complementing its previous 250 MW greenfield solar project secured from NHPC. In addition to these solar assets, Apraava Energy has three operational wind projects in Rajasthan with a total capacity of 253.6 MW, along with three transmission projects currently under construction.
Apraava Energyโs operational renewable energy (RE) portfolio now totals 1,420 MW, covering states such as Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Karnataka. The company also has an additional 900 MW of RE projects under development.
