UPNEDA Issues Tender for 320MW Solar Power Projects in Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh

The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has released a Request for Selection (RFS) document inviting proposals for the development of up to 320MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar PV power projects. The projects are to be established on a Build-Own-Operate basis at Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh, with land available for a 30-year lease.

Tender Details

The tender, designated as RFS No: 01/UPNEDA/JALAUN SOLAR PROJECT/RFS/2024, was officially issued on September 12, 2024. Interested developers can participate in this e-tender by submitting bids before the final deadline on October 4, 2024, by 6:00 PM. The opening of techno-commercial bids is scheduled for October 5, 2024, at 12:00 PM.

The cost of the tender document is INR 29,500, inclusive of GST, which is to be paid via NEFT/RTGS transfer or Demand Draft (DD) in favor of “Director UPNEDA” and payable at Lucknow. In addition, a non-refundable document processing fee of INR 2 lakh (plus 18% GST) is required, also payable through similar payment modes.

Financial Requirements and Conditions

Bidders are also required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) amounting to 2% of the estimated project value, through NEFT/RTGS or DD. The selected project developer will be provided a 30-year land lease for the project site in Jalaun.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, bidders must meet stringent technical requirements. Companies must have completed similar solar projects in the last seven years. The eligibility can be satisfied by completing:

  • Three similar projects valued at 40% of the estimated project cost,
  • Two projects at 50% of the estimated cost, or
  • One project valued at 80% of the estimated project cost.

This tender signifies UPNEDA’s continued efforts to boost solar energy production in the state and aligns with the nation’s push toward renewable energy.
