Alpex Solar Ltd (ALPEXSOLAR), a leading provider of integrated solar energy solutions, has received a significant order worth Rs 34.51 crore for the supply of 1,141 solar pumps to the Haryana Renewable Energy Department (HAREDA) under Component-B of the PM-KUSUM scheme. The contract marks a major milestone in the companyโs ongoing efforts to expand its footprint in India’s renewable energy sector.
This new order follows the companyโs recent successes in securing two large contracts totaling Rs 525.15 crore from major public sector undertakings (PSUs) for the supply of solar panels. With this new order, Alpex Solar’s total order value over the past two months has reached Rs 559.66 crore.
The PM-KUSUM (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan) initiative is central to Indiaโs push for energy security and its clean energy transition, aiming to boost renewable energy adoption in rural areas. As part of Indiaโs goal to generate 40% of its power from non-fossil-fuel sources by 2030, this scheme directly supports farmers with clean, sustainable energy solutions.
The contract for the 1,141 solar pumps is expected to be completed within 120 days of the work order issuance.
Strategic Expansion
Commenting on the new order, Ashwani Sehgal, Managing Director of Alpex Solar, said, โThis latest contract from HAREDA is a testament to the quality and reliability of our solutions. Solar pumps are a sustainable alternative to diesel-powered pumps, offering farmers a cost-effective and eco-friendly solution for irrigation. We are proud to contribute to Indiaโs renewable energy goals and are committed to expanding our photovoltaic module production capacity to 2.4 GW.โ
Mr. Sehgal emphasized that solar pumps are particularly beneficial in regions with limited access to the grid, offering a dependable source of energy while reducing carbon emissions.
Alpex Solar manufactures high-quality PV modules, utilizing both monocrystalline and polycrystalline technologies. The company offers end-to-end solar solutions, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for solar pump installations. In addition to this order, Alpex Solar is expanding its production capacity to support Indiaโs growing solar infrastructure needs.
