Shri Manohar Lal Visits Ministry Of Power And NTPC Pavilions At IITF 2024: A Step Towards Energy Innovation

Today, Hon’ble Shri Manohar Lal, Minister of Power, Housing & Urban Affairs, visited the Ministry of Power and NTPC pavilions at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2024. He was accompanied by Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary (Power), the Chairmen and Managing Directors of various Power CPSEs, and senior officials from the Ministry of Power and Power Sector CPSEs.

At IITF 2024, the Ministry of Power is showcasing its vision for a developed India by 2024. The pavilion provides an engaging experience, highlighting key themes such as India’s energy transition and efforts to ensure energy security, emphasizing the country’s journey towards a sustainable and prosperous future.

The Pavilion is equipped with state-of-the-art interactive technologies to enhance the visitor experience. These include Virtual Reality games, an interactive LED globe, quiz panels, and touch-screen OLED displays. The participating CPSEs under the Ministry of Power are also showcasing their efforts to raise awareness about green energy, the goal of net-zero emissions, and improving the ease of living.

Hon’ble Minister Shri Manohar Lal also visited NTPC’s pavilion, which featured the company’s innovative eco-friendly and affordable housing solution, the ‘Sukh’ Eco-House. This housing solution uses around 80% ash and ash-based products from thermal power plants, offering a sustainable approach to rural housing and reflecting NTPC’s commitment to sustainability and zero-carbon emissions. Both the Ministry of Power and NTPC’s pavilions at IITF 2024 demonstrate the government’s efforts to transform India’s energy and infrastructure, working towards a greener, brighter, and more sustainable future as part of the nation’s vision for 2047.
