Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has confirmed the acquisition of large orders in India and the Middle East for its power transmission and distribution division, valued between โ‚น2,500 crore and โ‚น5,000 crore. These orders highlight the company’s ongoing growth, even within the infrastructure sector.

One of the key orders involves the implementation of an advanced distribution management system (ADMS) in West Bengal. This cutting-edge technology is set to enhance the reliability of power distribution by integrating outage management with distribution management systems, enabling real-time monitoring of faults and swift restoration of power. The system will allow for quicker fault isolation and efficient power recovery, ultimately boosting the networkโ€™s reliability.

In the Middle East, L&T has secured a significant contract in Saudi Arabia to build a 380 kV substation, crucial for evacuating solar power and supporting the countryโ€™s renewable energy objectives. Additionally, the company has won a contract to develop a 400 kV substation in Kuwait, reinforcing its presence in the Middle Eastโ€™s energy sector. In Dubai, L&T is tasked with developing several extra-high-voltage (EHV) substations, including a 40/132 kV substation, as part of the cityโ€™s ongoing power transmission infrastructure modernization.
