TP Solar Secures ₹632 Crore SECI Contract for 292.5 MWp Solar Modules

TP Solar Limited (TP Solar), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), has secured a contract from the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for supplying 292.5 MWp Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) solar modules. The contract, valued at approximately ₹632 crore, is part of SECI’s larger 400 MWp tender awarded under the CPSU Scheme Tranche-III.

The high-quality DCR modules will be delivered to the designated project site in Ramagiri, Andhra Pradesh, between October 2025 and January 2026. TP Solar’s successful bid highlights its advanced manufacturing capabilities and aligns with India’s ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative, promoting self-reliance in renewable energy.

Commenting on the development, Mr. Sivakumar V Vepakomma, Director (Power System), SECI, stated, “The CPSU Scheme is a crucial initiative to enhance domestic solar manufacturing and strengthen India’s energy security. By awarding this contract to TP Solar, we are taking a significant step towards fostering self-reliance in the solar sector and ensuring that large-scale renewable projects are powered by high-quality, locally manufactured modules. Tata Power Renewables’ expertise and commitment to excellence align well with our vision of accelerating India’s clean energy transition while promoting indigenous manufacturing. This project will contribute to the country’s renewable energy targets, create economic opportunities, and support the long-term sustainability of the solar industry.”
