SJVN has successfully concluded an auction for 1,200 MW of ISTS-connected renewable energy projects to supply firm and dispatchable power. A total of 448 MW was awarded in the auction, with tariffs ranging from โน4.82 to โน4.91 per kWh. The lowest discovered tariff was โน4.82 per kWh, reflecting the competitiveness of Indiaโs renewable energy market.
Five companies secured contracts in this auction. ReNew Solar won 100 MW at โน4.82 per kWh, offering the most competitive bid. EG Energy (Enfinity Global) secured 60 MW at โน4.83 per kWh, while Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon obtained 100 MW at โน4.86 per kWh. Serentica Renewable won 100 MW at โน4.89 per kWh, and Tata Power Renewable Energy secured 88 MW at โน4.91 per kWh.

The tender was issued by SJVN in July 2024, with a minimum bid capacity of 50 MW and a maximum of 600 MW per bidder. The projects will only utilize commercially established technologies to minimize risks and ensure timely commissioning. Certified wind turbine models listed in the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers will be used.
The projects must maintain an annual capacity utilization factor of at least 75%. For solar modules and balance of systems, the latest government-issued technical guidelines for grid-connected solar photovoltaic systems will be followed. The wind power projects will be developed in line with applicable regulations. These measures aim to ensure efficiency and reliability in Indiaโs renewable energy expansion.
