Malakoff Radiance Sdn Bhd has strengthened its renewable energy collaboration with Northport (Malaysia) Bhd through a newly signed Solar Power Purchase Agreement (SPPA), marking the second phase of their solar energy initiatives.
Building on the successful completion of a 2.4 MWp rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system in December 2022, the latest phase involves the installation of an additional rooftop solar PV system at Northportโs CT2 building in Pelabuhan Klang. The new system will have a total capacity of 2,025.81 kWp (1,600 kWac), bringing Northportโs overall solar energy capacity to 4.4 MWp.
The SPPA, signed on 10 February 2025, underscores both companies’ commitment to advancing Malaysiaโs transition toward renewable energy. The initiative is expected to enhance energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, and support sustainability goals without requiring upfront investment from Northport.
Malakoff Radiance stated that the partnership aligns with its mission to deliver cost-effective, innovative, and sustainable energy solutions for businesses. The company remains focused on expanding its role in Malaysiaโs commercial and industrial renewable energy sector, driving the shift toward cleaner energy sources.
