As Europe accelerates the adoption of dynamic tariff systems, Sungrow, a global leader in PV inverters and energy storage solutions, has enhanced its iSolarCloud platform to address the evolving needs of the European market. The newly launched Dynamic Tariff feature, now available, uses Sungrowโs proprietary AI technology to efficiently manage household energy use and electricity trading, offering the potential for significant cost savings for European consumers.
AI-Driven Smart Energy Trading: Maximizing Cost Efficiency
The system is integrated with Nord Pool and other major power exchanges, adjusting in real time to hourly fluctuations in pan-European tariffs to avoid unexpected price surges and disruptions in household energy management. Powered by Sungrowโs AI algorithms, it can forecast solar generation and household energy needs 24 hours ahead, automatically implementing the most cost-effective strategies for energy use and trading. During periods of low tariffs, the system charges energy storage systems and reserves capacity for solar energy capture, minimizing costs. Conversely, during peak tariff periods, it discharges stored energy, turning households into “virtual power plants” that generate revenue through automated actions.
Continuous Learning for Smarter Energy Management
With deep-learning algorithms, the Dynamic Tariff feature continuously analyzes user behavior and energy consumption patterns, improving its forecasting precision over time. The system autonomously optimizes the coordination of photovoltaic (PV) arrays, energy storage systems (ESS), and electric vehicle (EV) chargers, adjusting strategies without the need for manual input. It is compatible with various configurations, including PV-ESS-EV charging systems, PV-ESS, ESS-only, and virtual power plant (VPP) integration, offering rapid responses across different scenarios.
Unified Platform for Enhanced Performance
Sungrowโs end-to-end technology platform ensures seamless integration between the Dynamic Tariff feature and Sungrowโs inverters, ESS, and EMS solutions. This unified approach creates a cohesive product ecosystem, with shared data architecture and coordinated control systems, enabling optimized system performance and agile energy management.
Looking to the future, Sungrow plans to further refine the Dynamic Tariff feature and develop additional intelligent, user-focused energy solutions designed to support European homes and businesses, contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.
