Brookfield’s Evren Inks 300 MW Renewable Energy Deal with NTPC

Evren, a platform launched by Brookfield in India, has signed a 300 MW Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NTPC Ltd. to supply firm and dispatchable renewable energy. The agreement involves developing nearly 1 GW of renewable capacity, including solar, wind, and battery energy storage.

The 300 MW project is designed to deliver Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) by integrating solar, wind, and storage technologies, enabling efficient energy delivery during peak demand hours. This will support power distribution companies in aligning renewable supply with demand and help them meet their renewable energy and storage compliance targets.

Suman Kumar, CEO Evren said, “The FDRE tender marks a great milestone for Evren. We are proactively investing in a large pipeline of high quality resources, comprising of interconnect approvals and data mapped land, thereby enabling us to provide decarbonization solutions at scale.  We are firmly placed to contribute to India’s renewable energy transition at scale.”
