The World Green Economy Organisation (WGEO) has announced that the 11th edition of the World Green Economy Summit (WGES) will take place on October 1โ2, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the summit will run under the theme โInnovating for Impact: Accelerating the Future of the Green Economyโ.
The summit aims to convene a diverse gathering of global and regional stakeholders, including high-level dignitaries, government officials, decision-makers, climate experts, academics, and representatives of international organisations. The focus will be on driving proactive and equitable solutions to accelerate the global transition to an integrated green economy and advance progress toward net-zero emissions.
A Decade of Climate Dialogue
Since its inception in 2014, WGES has evolved into a premier global platform for addressing key issues surrounding climate action, sustainability, and green finance. It has served as a catalyst for climate collaboration, offering a space for shaping forward-thinking policies and strengthening international cooperation in the green economy.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, MD & CEO of DEWA, and Chairman of WGEO, stated:
