Greener Power Solutions Announces The Appoints Jasper van den Driest As The New Chief Executive Officer To Drive Next Phase Of Growth

Greener Power Solutions, a European leader in large-scale mobile battery rentals for temporary power, has announced that Jasper van den Driest will take over as Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 September 2025. He will succeed Dieter Castelein, co-founder of the company, who is stepping down after eight years of leadership. The appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Greener as it prepares to scale up its international presence and expand its product and service offerings to meet growing market demand.

Jasper van den Driest brings with him over 15 years of CEO experience and a strong commitment to driving the energy transition. He is currently CEO at Vandebron, a Dutch energy supplier providing clean power to 240,000 households. Prior to that, he led Guidion, a B2B service platform for telecom and energy technicians. His track record of entrepreneurial leadership and business growth positions him well to guide Greener into its next phase of development.

With support from leading infrastructure investor CVC DIF, which invested in the company in 2022, Greener is entering a new stage of professionalisation and geographic expansion. Under the leadership of co-founders Klaas Akkerman and Dieter Castelein, the company has seen consistent annual growth. Since the investment, Greener’s fleet of mobile batteries has increased from 40 units in 2022 to 185 today, with plans to reach 250 by the end of 2025. Its workforce has grown from 20 to 65 people, with operations now spanning the Netherlands, the UK, Spain, France, and Sweden.
