NTPC Green Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has invited online bids for the comprehensive operation and maintenance of the NGEL 250 MW Shimbhu Ki Bhurj-1 Solar Station. The tender, referenced as NGEL-CS-OnM(1.5Months)-SKB1, was issued on August 7, 2025. The bidding process will follow a single-stage composite bidding system and is open to eligible bidders who meet the criteria outlined in the bidding documents. The project will be financed through NTPC Green Energy Limited’s internal resources.
The scope of work under this tender includes the complete operation and maintenance of the 250 MW solar station at Shimbhu Ki Bhurj-1. There is no tender fee for participation, and bid security or earnest money deposit (EMD) is not applicable for this tender. Similarly, there is no requirement for a pre-bid conference, and a reverse auction will not be conducted.
The final date and time for bid submission is 11th August 2025, along the bid opening date will also be 11th August 2025. Corrigenda or updates, if any, will be published only on the e-tender site, and bidders are advised to regularly check for such updates.
A key eligibility condition mentioned in the tender is that any bidder from a country sharing a land border with India will be eligible to participate only if registered with the competent authority specified in the bidding documents. This condition also applies to Indian bidders who have a Transfer of Technology arrangement with an entity from such countries. However, this restriction will not apply to countries to which the Government of India has extended lines of credit or where it is engaged in development projects.
Transfer of bidding documents from one bidder to another is not allowed. Bids must be submitted online and will be opened at NTPC Green Energy Limited’s office on the 4th Floor, NETRA Building, E-3, Ecotech-II, Udyog Vihar, Greater Noida, Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, in the presence of bidder representatives who choose to attend.
The company reserves the right to reject any or all bids or cancel the invitation without assigning any reason, and bidders will have no claim arising from such actions. For this particular tender, no EMD or performance bank guarantee (PBG) amount has been specified, making it relatively easier for bidders to participate.
