SECI Awards 50,000 MT Green Ammonia Project To ACME At ₹51.89/kilogram

On August 18, 2025, Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI) successfully conducted an e-reverse auction under the SIGHT Scheme (Mode-2A-Tranche-I) for a major green ammonia project in India. The auction focused on Project-IX, a 50,000 metric ton initiative for Coromandel International Limited, based in Vishakhapatnam. This initiative marks a significant step in advancing India’s clean energy and green chemical production capabilities.

The e-reverse auction began with a starting price of ₹63.89 per kilogram. After the bidding process, ACME Cleantech Solutions Private Limited emerged as the winning bidder, quoting a final price of ₹51.89 per kilogram. This bid also represents the loaded bid value for the project. The auction was conducted as a “Single Entity” and “Fixed Quantity” event, ensuring transparency and clarity in the selection process.

The entire process was executed under the Request for Selection (RfS) number SECI/C&P/MI/00/0002/2024-25, which was issued on June 7, 2024. The e-reverse auction concluded successfully, confirming ACME Cleantech Solutions as the awarded entity for the production and supply of green ammonia for the specified project.
