The collaboration aims to produce 1,000 Tonnes Per Day (TPD) of Green Urea. To achieve this, NGEL will supply critical green resources, including Green Ammonia, Carbon Dioxide (CO₂), Renewable Energy (RE) power, and other essential utilities required for eco-friendly urea production. The project is planned at the NGEL Green Hydrogen Hub in Pudimadaka, near Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. By leveraging this dedicated Green Hydrogen Hub, the initiative supports India’s goals of industrial decarbonization and green chemical production for agriculture.

The MoU was disclosed in accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The official communication was signed by Manish Kumar, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of NGEL, and submitted to the National Stock Exchange of India Limited and BSE Limited.

This initiative marks NGEL’s growing role in the renewable energy sector, extending beyond power generation to integrated green manufacturing solutions. By providing essential green inputs such as ammonia and renewable power, NGEL enables private players like Assago Industries to move away from fossil-fuel-based urea production. The Pudimadaka project is expected to become a model for future green industrial collaborations, promoting sustainable and eco-friendly manufacturing practices in India.
