Nexus Energía Begins Supplying 100% Renewable Electricity To The Presidency Of The Generalitat Valenciana And Valencia’s General University Hospital

Nexus Energía, the eighth-largest energy supplier in Spain and a recognized leader in sustainable energy solutions, has begun supplying 100 percent renewable electricity to the Presidency of the Generalitat Valenciana and the Consorcio Hospital General Universitario de Valencia. This initiative is part of the ongoing framework agreement between the company and the Generalitat Valenciana, aimed at promoting the use of clean energy across key public institutions. The renewable electricity supplied by Nexus Energía is fully certified by the National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC), ensuring its origin from renewable sources.

As part of this collaboration, Nexus Energía will deliver a total of 2.8 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of green electricity to 18 supply points belonging to the Department of the Presidency of the Generalitat Valenciana over the course of one year. Additionally, the company will supply 20.2 GWh of renewable electricity annually to 29 supply points associated with the Consorcio Hospital General Universitario de Valencia.

Both agreements are part of the broader framework agreement signed between Nexus Energía and the Valencian Government, which supports the region’s objectives of energy efficiency, sustainability, and decarbonization in public service operations. Through this initiative, both the Generalitat Valenciana and the hospital consortium reaffirm their commitment to the energy transition and to reducing their carbon footprint. By relying on renewable energy, these institutions are contributing to the European Union’s broader goals of achieving climate neutrality and protecting the environment.
