TotalEnergies to Sell GreenFlex to Oteis, Refocusing on Core Energy Operations

TotalEnergies has signed an agreement with Oteis, an independent French consulting and engineering group, for the sale of its sustainable consultancy and solutions subsidiary, GreenFlex. The transaction aligns with TotalEnergies’ strategy to focus on its core businesses of energy production and supply.

Oteis Conseil & Ingénierie, which employs over 800 people across France and Europe, specializes in construction, water and development, infrastructure, and industrial projects. The company has a strong record of growth through integrating new teams and businesses, and plans to leverage GreenFlex’s expertise in sustainability consulting, low-carbon energy performance, and transition financing to create a comprehensive environmental and energy services platform.

For GreenFlex, the acquisition opens new opportunities to expand into additional markets while continuing its mission to support businesses and communities in achieving sustainability, decarbonization, and energy efficiency goals.

Following the sale, TotalEnergies will remain a key GreenFlex customer through a contract for the production of French Energy Saving Certificates (CEEs).

The completion of the transaction remains subject to standard conditions, including employee consultations and regulatory approvals from competition authorities.
