The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has announced the results of the techno-commercial and financial bid evaluations for the “Setting up of 4.55 MW Grid-Connected Rooftop Solar PV Projects under RESCO Mode”. This initiative, aimed at promoting clean energy across various institutions, was conducted under the Request for Selection (RfS) number SECI/C&P/IPP/14/0026/24-25, dated April 1, 2025. The projects are part of SECI’s broader mandate to support renewable energy adoption through initiatives like ‘Swachh Bharat Swachh Urja’ and ‘Surya Sadev’.
For Project-1, a 1000 kW rooftop solar installation at the Central University of South Bihar in Gaya, Unique Sun Power LLP emerged as the lowest bidder, offering a tariff of โน3.49 per kWh. Other bidders for this project included Stockwell Solar Services Private Limited (โน4.08/kWh), Solar Optimised Line Private Limited (โน4.43/kWh), Kalpana Construction (โน4.84/kWh), APECO Infrastructure India Private Limited (โน4.85/kWh), and Horizon Luminous Limited (โน4.89/kWh). These companies were previously qualified in the techno-commercial stage.
Similarly, Project-3, a 900 kW installation at the Indian Institute of Technology, Patna, also saw Unique Sun Power LLP quoting the lowest tariff of โน3.49 per kWh. The second-lowest bid was from Stockwell Solar Services Private Limited at โน3.97 per kWh, followed by Solar Optimised Line Private Limited at โน4.43 per kWh and APECO Infrastructure India Private Limited at โน4.49 per kWh. After the techno-commercial evaluation, four bidders remained eligible for consideration: APECO Infrastructure India Private Limited, Solar Optimised Line Private Limited, Stockwell Solar Services Private Limited, and Unique Sun Power LLP.
For Project-5, a 400 kW rooftop system at the Indian Institute of Management, Raipur, Ingsol LLP secured the contract as the L1 bidder, quoting a tariff of โน3.82 per kWh. The next lowest bids were from Stockwell Solar Services Private Limited at โน4.08 per kWh, Anilka Energy at โน4.18 per kWh, Kalpana Construction at โน4.84 per kWh, APECO Infrastructure India Private Limited at โน4.85 per kWh, and Horizon Luminous Limited at โน4.89 per kWh.
Project-9, involving a 525 kW installation at the Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar, recorded Stockwell Solar Services Private Limited as the lowest bidder with a tariff of โน4.53 per kWh. Other qualified bidders included Kalpana Construction and Sunanda Solar Energy Private Limited, with tariffs of โน4.84 per kWh and โน4.91 per kWh, respectively.
These results represent a critical step forward in SECIโs efforts to encourage rooftop solar adoption across educational institutions in India. By engaging multiple bidders and ensuring competitive tariffs, the projects are expected to promote clean energy, reduce carbon footprints, and strengthen the nationโs renewable energy infrastructure. Through these initiatives, SECI continues to demonstrate its commitment to the governmentโs renewable energy goals while providing cost-effective solutions for institutional energy needs.
