ADM Solar has reached an important milestone in India’s renewable energy and sustainable mobility journey by partnering with the National Capital Region Transport Corporation to bring solar power to the Namo Bharat Corridor. Through this project, ADM Solar is supporting clean energy adoption in one of the country’s most advanced public transport systems while strengthening its presence in solarizing critical infrastructure.
Under this initiative, ADM Solar Power will develop a 3.0 MWp solar rooftop and car parking solarization project across seven Namo Bharat railway stations on the Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut corridor. The stations covered under the project include Sarai Kale Khan, Jangpura, and New Ashok Nagar in Delhi, along with Pratappur and Shatabdi Nagar in Meerut, Rithani in Ghaziabad, and Modupuram in Modinagar. These stations are part of India’s first semi-high-speed regional rail system, which aims to improve connectivity across the National Capital Region.
The project is being implemented under the Renewable Energy Service Company model, which allows the client to adopt solar power without any upfront capital investment. ADM Solar has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with NCRTC and will handle the entire lifecycle of the project. This includes design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and comprehensive operation and maintenance throughout the contract period.
For this project, ADM Solar will use its 550Wp mono-facial solar PV modules, which are designed to deliver high efficiency and reliable performance over the long term. The combination of rooftop installations and car parking solar structures will help make effective use of available space while generating clean electricity close to where it is consumed.
Once commissioned, the 3 MW solar system is expected to reduce the carbon footprint of Namo Bharat operations and lower reliance on conventional grid power. It will also help NCRTC achieve cost savings over the project’s lifetime. The initiative highlights NCRTC’s focus on sustainability and demonstrates ADM Solar’s capability to deliver long-term solar solutions for public sector and institutional clients, contributing to India’s broader clean energy and climate goals.
