Soleil Renewable Energy, a renewable energy platform founded in 2019, announced that its flagship utility-scale solar and energy storage project has officially moved into the execution phase, marking a significant step from planning to delivery. The project, previously announced at 880 MWdc of solar generation paired with 460 MW of battery storage across roughly 3,200 acres, is being developed as a fully integrated power system aimed at delivering reliable, dispatchable clean energy at an unprecedented scale and efficiency.
Soleil is led jointly by Ramak Sedigh, Founder, CEO, and Managing Director, and Zaya Younan, whose involvement brings additional execution discipline, engineering expertise, and long-term strategic insight to the platform. Their combined leadership strengthens Soleilโs ability to advance complex projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of infrastructure-grade design.
Founded with the goal of building large-scale renewable infrastructure capable of meeting the demands of modern power grids, Soleil Renewable Energy has been structured to execute all core development and delivery workstreams in parallel. These include grid interconnection and deliverability strategy, permitting and environmental compliance, site engineering and integrated system architecture, procurement of EPC and battery integrators, and readiness for project financing and institutional due diligence. This multi-track approach positions Soleil as a serious and capable entrant in the utility-scale renewable energy sector.
Speaking on the project, Ramak Sedigh emphasized the companyโs commitment to execution: โI founded Soleil to build real infrastructureโnot concepts. With Zaya joining me in leading this platform, I have complete confidence in the success of this venture. His track record of entering complex industries and transforming them through engineering, execution, and scale speaks for itself.โ He added that Zayaโs ability to design systems from first principles and execute them at scale fundamentally elevates Soleilโs credibility, speed, and long-term impact.
Zaya Younan brings decades of experience designing and scaling complex global platforms in technology, real estate, luxury manufacturing, and infrastructure-grade assets. โRenewable energy is critical infrastructure, not a trend,โ he said. โSoleil is being developed with the same rigor as world-class systems: reliability, efficiency, and long-term performance. Our philosophy is simpleโbuild it right, build it to last, and execute without compromise.โ
Unlike conventional solar projects, Soleil is being designed as infrastructure-grade, dispatchable energy. This means the system will support peak demand, smooth volatility, and provide dependable clean power through integrated storage solutions. The project is also expected to generate meaningful regional benefits, including significant construction and technical employment, long-term economic activity, expansion of the local tax base, alignment with Californiaโs clean energy and reliability goals, and responsible land stewardship with end-of-life restoration planning.
Looking ahead, Soleil Renewable Energy plans to provide further updates as the project advances. Key milestones will include the selection of EPC and battery integrator partners, completion of detailed engineering and design packages, progress in permitting, and third-party due diligence. With its disciplined execution strategy and leadership team, Soleil is positioned to deliver large-scale, reliable, and sustainable renewable energy infrastructure.
