Bessco Power Pvt. Ltd. and Renergo Developers Pvt. Ltd. have announced a strategic joint venture to develop 1,000 MW of renewable energy projects across India and Nepal, marking a significant step toward expanding clean energy capacity in the region.
Under the partnership, the companies plan to focus primarily on utility-scale solar power projects, while also exploring opportunities in emerging clean energy segments such as green hydrogen, green ammonia, and compressed biogas (CBG). The proposed projects are expected to be developed over the next 18โ24 months, subject to regulatory approvals and project-level agreements.
According to the companies, the collaboration will combine Bessco Powerโs experience in renewable project development and execution with Renergo Developersโ expertise in energy infrastructure and project management. The partners aim to establish a scalable renewable energy platform capable of supporting the growing demand for clean power across South Asia.
Bessco Power Founder and Chairman Rajeev Chhikara said the partnership reflects the companyโs commitment to accelerating the energy transition through strategic collaborations and expanding its renewable energy portfolio. He noted that the initiative will help deliver reliable and sustainable energy solutions while contributing to regional climate goals.
Representatives from Renergo Developers also highlighted that the joint venture will focus on building efficient, large-scale renewable assets, supporting both countriesโ ambitions to expand renewable energy capacity and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
The initiative is expected to strengthen cross-border renewable energy development and support the broader transition toward sustainable energy systems in the region.
