GOLDBECK SOLAR Polska, a leading EPC company, has signed a major contract to deliver the Sidłowo-Kikowo-Dobrowo photovoltaic (PV) power plants in Poland, which will be connected directly to the state electricity grid. Once completed, the project will become the largest solar installation in Europe, marking a significant milestone for the company and a major achievement in the development of utility-scale renewable energy.

Located in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, the Sidłowo-Kikowo-Dobrowo project will have a total installed capacity of 722 MWp, surpassing all existing solar farms in Europe. The project will also be the first large-scale PV plant in Poland to connect directly to the 400 kV high-voltage transmission network of Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne (PSE). It consists of three photovoltaic power plants—Sidłowo (290 MWp), Kikowo (235 MWp), and Dobrowo (197 MWp)—along with the associated high-voltage cable infrastructure and a grid connection via the STR LKO 400/110 kV intermediate substation.

GOLDBECK SOLAR Polska has been awarded the full engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) scope for the project, covering all three power plants, the substations, the high-voltage cable routes, and the grid connection infrastructure. As the general contractor, the company will oversee every phase of the project, from engineering and procurement to construction and commissioning. Securing this comprehensive scope underscores the company’s ability to deliver complex, large-scale renewable energy projects that integrate generation assets with high-voltage grid infrastructure.

Steffen Emmerich, Managing Director of GOLDBECK SOLAR Polska, said, “This is an enormous achievement for our company. Securing the full EPC scope for such a complex, large-scale project highlights our capabilities and positions us at the forefront of Europe’s renewable energy sector. We are excited to bring our expertise to the Sidłowo-Kikowo-Dobrowo project, delivering a project that sets new benchmarks in scale and impact.”

The Sidłowo–Kikowo–Dobrowo solar farm is part of a wider strategic initiative by Optima Wind, Virya Energy, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which are launching Virya Renewables Poland. The platform has a project pipeline exceeding 2 GW of potential capacity across the country, reflecting Poland’s growing commitment to renewable energy development and large-scale solar integration.
