Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MAHAGENCO) has issued a Notice Inviting Tender for the development of a solar power project in the Beed district of Maharashtra. The project involves Balance of System (BoS) works for a 50 MW AC grid-connected ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) plant at Parli, marking another step in expanding renewable energy capacity in the region.

As per the tender details, the scope of work is wide and covers design, engineering, and procurement activities. However, the supply of key components such as PV modules, IDT, and central inverters has been kept outside the contractorโ€™s responsibility. The selected bidder will be required to handle inspection, erection, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of the plant. In addition to the project execution, the contract also includes operation and maintenance (O&M) services for a period of seven years, ensuring long-term performance and reliability of the facility.

The project also includes the development of the power evacuation system, which will connect the solar plant to the State Transmission Utility (STU) substation. This is an important part of the project, as it ensures that the generated power is efficiently transmitted to the grid.

The tender process is being conducted through a โ€œTwo Bid System.โ€ Under this system, bidders are required to submit two separate proposals. One proposal will cover the technical and commercial aspects, while the other will include the price bid. This approach allows MAHAGENCO to evaluate the technical capability of bidders independently before considering financial offers.

The tender was originally published on January 19, 2026. A pre-bid meeting was held on February 5, 2026, where interested bidders were given the opportunity to raise queries and seek clarifications regarding the project. However, MAHAGENCO has informed that there has been a delay in the process. The company stated that due to unforeseen reasons, the amended bid documents could not be uploaded as planned. It has been assured that the revised documents and further updates will be shared with bidders in due course.

The project carries an RfX number of 3000064724 and represents an important addition to solar development efforts in the region. Interested bidders can access detailed tender documents, including qualifying requirements, through MAHAGENCOโ€™s official website and e-procurement portal.
