Aroma Solar has officially commenced production at its fully automated solar module manufacturing facility in Karnal, marking a significant step in India’s domestic solar manufacturing expansion.
The facility, equipped with advanced automation and AI-enabled production lines, is designed to enhance precision, efficiency, and product quality, while minimizing defects. The plant is expected to manufacture high-efficiency solar modules in the 620–635 W range with ~23.51% efficiency, targeting utility-scale and large commercial solar projects.
Industry experts note that Aroma Solar’s move aligns with India’s push for Make in India and import substitution in the photovoltaic (PV) sector. With automation becoming a standard across India’s solar manufacturing ecosystem, this facility positions Aroma Solar to compete effectively on both quality and scale.
The Karnal plant joins a growing network of automated solar module facilities in India, reflecting the country’s accelerated focus on domestic production of high-efficiency modules amid rising renewable energy targets and global supply chain considerations.
