Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has announced the commercial operationalization of several renewable energy projects at Khavda in Gujarat, further strengthening its clean energy portfolio. According to the companyโs regulatory filing made under SEBI Regulation 30 on May 26, 2026, the projects officially became operational following a final decision taken on May 25 at 9:30 p.m.
The newly commissioned projects include a combined 1,990 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity along with a 50 MW solar power project. These projects were developed through different step-down subsidiaries of AGEL and mark a significant expansion in the companyโs renewable energy and storage capabilities.
Among the newly operationalized BESS assets, Adani Renewable Energy Thirty Six Limited contributed 642 MWh, while Adani Renewable Energy Thirty Seven Limited added the largest share of 1,042 MWh. Another 306 MWh capacity was commissioned through Adani Renewable Energy Forty Three Limited. In addition, Adani Green Energy Twenty Four Limited operationalized a 50 MW solar power project at the Khavda renewable energy park.
With the commissioning of these projects, AGELโs total operational renewable energy generation capacity has increased to 19,785.8 MW. At the same time, the companyโs total operational BESS capacity has expanded to 3,366 MWh, highlighting its growing focus on energy storage solutions to support grid reliability and renewable energy integration.
The latest development reflects AGELโs continued efforts to scale up large-scale renewable infrastructure and support Indiaโs transition toward cleaner and more sustainable energy systems.
