Eleven Proposes Rs. 4,700 Crore Renewable Power Distribution Network in Gurugram and Nuh

Eleven Power Private Limited, part of the diversified Eleven Group chaired by Medanta co-founder Sunil Sachdeva, has proposed an investment of more than Rs. 4,700 crore to develop a renewable energy-led electricity distribution network across Gurugram and Nuh districts in Haryana.

The company has applied to the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC) for a parallel electricity distribution licence covering the two districts. The project will proceed upon receiving regulatory approval from the Commission.

According to the company, the capital required for the first phase of the project has been fully secured, with equity already infused and the complete funding structure comprising both equity and debt in place.

The proposed distribution network will primarily be powered by renewable energy and is designed to provide uninterrupted electricity supply while reducing consumers’ reliance on diesel generator backup. The first phase of the rollout includes Nuh, one of Haryana’s most underserved districts.

Under the proposed parallel distribution licence model, the existing electricity distribution utility will continue to operate its network and serve its existing consumers. Customers will have the option to switch to Eleven Power’s distribution network if they choose.

Commenting on the proposal, Sunil Sachdeva, Chairman of Eleven, said the company’s vision is centred on delivering renewable power, reliable electricity supply, and greater consumer choice. He added that the initiative builds on the group’s long-standing experience in the power sector and reflects its commitment to developing a future-ready electricity distribution network for Gurugram and Nuh.
